Yuck!!!! with a capital Y. My guest and I have passed this restaurant many times during the past 5 years.. enroute to the best Casino in the South Bay - Hollywood Park!!! For some reason, we decided to stop and enjoy some "authentic" chinese food. The restaurant was semi-empty 2 large families and 1 large table with the restaurant owners/workers eating.

Well...a waitress stopped by dropped a small bowl of fried noodles on the center of table. Came back, took our order...we ordered 2 "B" Daily specials. Fried Rice, Shrimp and Sweet and Sour Pork. The food came, presentation was awful...vegetables looked as thought they were tossed once over some oil (luke warm). Tempura battered shrimp was soooooo greasy, no flavor and the pork was bland. The waitress came back with a small bowl of red jello colored sauce for the pork. No tea, no smiles, service poor. We summoned the waitress over to give us the bill $9.60 ...she looked at our plates and asked if we wanted a take out...we replied no.(this food was not even good enough to take home for pets).

Disappointed, I called the restaurant back to suggest that they pay attention to the service and food quality....of course they did not understand what I was talking about. I explained that I did not want a refund - nor would I ever visit this restaurant or recommend it to any one. Don't eat there! We should have visited Costco or Pink's Hot Dogs inside of Hollywood Park...what a waste of money.

Excellent & Tasty Chinese Food. Chu's Garden is got to be one of my all time favorite Chinese restaturants to eat. The only sit down restaurant in Inglewood that I know of; do not mistaken this place for a $1 Chinese fast food place thats around the area, this place is the real deal if you're looking for quality and tasty dishes. The restaurant is family owned; the service is excellent and you have this warm welcome feeling and invitation by them when you go there to eat as if you are part of their family itself. The customer service is excellent and the food itself is great. I find myself going there 3-4 times a week to eat because it is so good. I recommend the house special fried rice, spicy salt fish, chicken and beef w/ mushrooms, and the soup which I've forgotten the name since they always know what I like to order without me looking at the menu. The menu is filled with a lot of great dishes and I've gone through 75% of it and working my way through the rest of it because it's all good. I love food, especially with quality, taste, and freshness and everything that is made here is not pre-cooked or pre-heated, its all fresh made to order. This is a must try if you are in the area and the pricing you can't beat and is beyond excellent for such great food and great service. If you went elsewhere then you would be paying more and getting less quality Chinese Food. If you don't like Chu's Garden then you don't know Chinese food. Enjoy!

where are the old owners??. the food has gotten nasty since they switched owners!!!! where are the original owners??? chus used to be owned by this nice chinese couple and their 3 beautiful daughters. they were all so funny and friendly and it was always a pleasure to see them. they had absolutely delicious food, great prices, huge portions, absolutely to die for. it was the happening chinese food spot until they changed owners. my question is, why hasnt the name of the restaurant been changed because it is definitely not chus anymore!!!! their food just isn't the same. its too greasy and the presentation of the food is horrible.

BEST CHINESE FOOD EVER!. awesome resturant! Food is incredible. My friend took me once and I loved chinese food ever since. I go three times a week and i never get sick of it. Prices are decent and the portions are very large. It's the only sit down Chinese resturant in Inglewood so I take my family there a lot. The people there are very nice and kind. But on Sundays, they get very packed, so call and see what the wait is.
