Epitomizing office casual wear, Banana Republic started out as a small vendor of safari-inspired clothing before it was purchased by the Gap in 1983. Since then, it has grown into a brand-name behemoth that one-ups the Gap in quality, status and price--but not necessarily creativity. The core of the collection is constant: versatile staples such as khakis, button-down shirts, denim, T-shirts and jackets in solid, organic colors. Lengths and fabrics change slightly according to the season. Some stores have expanded into bedding, fragrance, bath and beauty, and home-furnishing lines.

Great customer service from the floor staff, however cashiers were neglectful.... I love this store. Its one of the biggest Banana store. My most favorite would be the petite section. They have great selection during sales. The floor staff were always very helpful, nice, patient and attentive. Whenever I go there I always get exceptional service from them, except for the people on the register. They were somewhat snooty and neglectful. In 2 separate occasions after I shop there, I had to return twice to the store to have the anti-shoplifting tag removed. So my advice: double check the article you purchase. In my opinion I think its the cashiers responsibility to make sure they're all removed. However they seemed to be inattentive.

I LOVE this store!. banana is a season ahead and their clothes is made from top quality material, i dont know of many stores that have such a great return policy, you can return just about anything with no reciept for store credit! I love this store!!! Not to mention what beautiful store they have!! The sale associates are so pleasent!!!

Huge Store. This 3 story store is very large and the clothes and accessories are very well merchandised. It's easy to see things - although you do have to walk across the entire floor to gather up your various selections.

Look for the bargain basement.... This store wouldn't be distiguishable from other its other BR sisters except for one very important thing: the enormous bargain basement. As soon as the season is completed, other BR's in the area send unsold items to this bargain basement. And since there are no real seasons in Southern California, shoppers can find cute high quality basics for half the price.
