Loss Of A Great Establishment. Unfortunately we have lost another hometown spot. I've read the following reviews which were critical and likely dead accurate, but in it's defense, the restaurant had changed hands at the time of those reviews and there was no leadership to speak of. Sunset Bar & Grill has closed and will now become a Cabo Cantina. Many people will miss the old place but as the reviews expressed it was time for a change.

I will miss Sunset Bar & Grill.

Moldy Bread; Horrible customer service. My friend and I tried the Sunset Bar and grill for some sustenence during some shopping. We were gestured to a table. The waitress brought us complementary bread and water. As we were sitting there talking and eating the bread I noticed that it tasted funny. I mentioned this to my friend who hadn't noticed anything peculiar and as I flipped over my bread we noticed that there was mold all over the bread!!! Sure enough there were clusters of mold on the other pieces of bread as well. I brought the waitress over and showed her the problem. She said ok and took the bread away; no apologies or shock. She then came back to take our order as if nothing had transgressed. I brought up the questioned of whether we were to be compensated for being given moldy bread. She said that she had spoken to her manager and that we would not be receiving anything comped because the bread was free. Needless to say we left right after that and got some pizza. But seriously this place had horrible service. I cannot account for the actual food that you would pay for but all I can tell you is their "free" bread stinks. Where is the accountability? Food Safety???

Beware - Tourist Trap!. Had to seat ourselves, ask for water and silverware. This place was short a waitress but it wasn't that busy and a manager never approached us to apologize. The food was mediocre at best. Places like this only manage to stay in business because they're on the Promenade, and by sheer numbers they'll get customers (usually tourists who don't know any better). NOT RECOMMENED!

Poor Experience. Seven of us visited this restaurant on a Sat at 5:30pm (not busy yet). Our foodserver made a mistake by not putting our order in and not realizing it until 30 minutes had passed. Our food order was not even placed at high priority at that time. Mistakes happen, but what was even worse was their management. The manager never came by to apologize, and when I questioned the food server in front of him after waiting another 20 minutes, his demeanor was hostile to me! Needless to say, customers don't seem to come first, and I would not recommend treatment like that to anyone.
