Editorial Review for Carl's Jr. – by Gina Goff
In Short
Since opening its first diner in the 1940s, this restaurant has developed into one of the most popular West Coast franchises, claiming industry innovations such as the drive-through window, partial-service dining rooms and their iconic Six Dollar Burgers--a line of oversized, sit-down restaurant-style hamburgers with Angus patties. Other hearty options abound, including steak-and-egg breakfast burritos, crispy chicken sandwiches and chili cheese fries to supplement standbys like onion rings and shoestring potatoes.

Know Before You GoThe gimmicky "Six Dollar Burger" is a misnomer; most varieties sell for about $4.

Great burger and awesome atmosphere. I've eaten at Carl's for years and will continue eating there. Great job Carl!
Pros: Food quality

Angus Beef, crisp RED onion, a signature flavor others only wish they had. I like the new Jalapeno $6 Burger, a sandwich that tastes like no other. A spicy mayo of some sort, plenty of jalapeno slices, a spicy cheese, lots of lettuce and tomatoes and again, those crisp red onions. I couldn't have made a better burger myself! When I'm really hungry, and I have a craving that only Carl's knows how to satisfy, it's the $6 Jalapeno Burger. Hey Carl's, another homerun in my book. Keep it up. (you know that Pastrami $6 Burger was pretty good too, when's it coming back?)
Pros: Great food, icecream shakes, cravable flavor
Cons: dining room looking a little tired, time for a new look?
