Took private and group classes here. Studio is very flashy and in a great location. Actually saw the Dance Doctor dance and quite frankly, HE IS A TERRIBLE DANCER! He kept looking around the room to see if people were looking at him and the poor girl dancing with him seemed embarrassed. He just didn't look like any pro I've ever seen dance. Very strange. The teachers were so-so and didn't seem to want to even be there. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. One thing I did figure out while there was that the better instuctors that you see teaching there, don't even work for the studio. They rent space to teach and typically charge less per lesson if you get to them somehow before walking in the studio doors.
Pros: Great location, easy parking
Cons: loud, weak instructors, expensive, negative energy

There is such a lack of good dance studio in the westside. Here is one in a prime location - right in the heart of Santa Monica. My husband and I took a beginner salsa class, we were very unimpressed with the instructor. Within an hour she taught us three very basic steps. We spent more time changing partners than we did dancing. My friends won a silent auction for two private classes there. She too was very unimpressed with the instructor. it seems like mr. Dance Doctor himself is not doing much of the teaching these days, which is fine, except that he does not seem to be able to find good teachers in his place.
Pros: parking is easy , convenient location, good class time
Cons: instructors are so so, large room but cut up, privates are expensiv
