The Scene – The look (muted greens and browns) and feel of this two-story salon and spa is distinctly earthy. Along with a few treatment rooms on the first floor, there is an additional room upstairs where nail services are performed. Signs posted urge patrons to mind the level of their voices, which everyone seems to heed. – – The Services – Making use of Allen Edwards' reputation on the salon circuit, the spa offers the usual facials and body treatments. But their specialty services (permanent makeup, electrolysis, sea-enzyme body firming masks, epicurean enzyme…

Go see Carla for a Facial.. THE BEST EVER

by mamababy1 at Citysearch

I saw Carla for the first time two years ago at the Woodland Hills location, and I am so happy she has moved closer to me in Santa Monica!!! She is amazing. A gorgeous woman with beautiful skin, the best calling card! She has the best hands and a knack for making me feel relaxed, cared for, and for giving me celebrity caliber skin! I don't wear foundation because I don't need it now that I see Carla.

She does a thorough examination and recommends the best regimen for my skin, and it actually works! No B.S. with her, she is a straight shooter and gives me exactly what I need. My eyebrows are straight out of Vogue, gorgeous, and she can wax like no other. If ever she is not here, I see her twin sister (equally as amazing) at the Woodland Hills location.

Do yourself a treat, see Carla for any spa treatment, you will be so happy and maybe you'll look as good as me!!!

  • Pros: Great hands, professional, I look amazing

BRUNNETE TO GREEN!!!

by mara1310 at Citysearch

I never find the need to write a comment, but after this AWFUL experience at this salon with no refund or ounce of customer care, I found the need to write a comment. I wet in the hair salong asking my har stylist Sara to make my hair blonde. She told me that it would take a few times, and that is fine, being a dark brunette I understand the complications. Anyhow, she started to color my hair and in the mist of the process my head started to burn and so did my neck since the hair was resting on my neck...she lifts the plastic off my head and steam is coming off my head. At the point, I didnt think to much of it, since Im a newbie.. four hours later and less of 360 dollars I lef tthe salon with a green do'. My ash color that I didnt NOT want was GREEN. I went home and lifted up my hair to put it in a pony tail and under neath my hair was brown green and red, she didnt even mention anything to me!

I went back the next morning and they would not refun my money, and Allen the owner...AWFUL customer service...took the green out of my hair to finailly make me look normal...and told me that if i want highlights that i would have to pay another 100 bucks on top of the 360. i left the salon with no highlights and an UGLY dry damaged light brown hair.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! AWFUUUUL now i have to pay another 500 to go get it repaired elsewhere!!!

  • Pros: nothing
  • Cons: they do not care about you or your hair. they made my hair GREEN. disaster

you can find comparable and cheaper, if not better, facials elsewhere

by socalipa at Citysearch

I walked in 20 minutes before my facial appointment and was greeted by a confused looking employee. I had to explain that I had an appointment before I received a friendly attitude. The facial itself was mediocre. Her hands were very light, not the firm experienced hands I tend to enjoy. She did attempt to explain to me why I was breaking out and why my skin was very dry. She also offered to give me some samples of a couple products she used during the facial. I don't know if it was because I made the appt during spa week (where each facial is only $50), but I did not even receive a facial massage - just a decollete massage. I've never gotten a facial where a massage on the face is not performed. However, what turned me off the most was that her goodbye greeting was "good luck" as though she assumed I only got the facial because it was cheap and that I'd never return. No "see you soon" or "I hope you enjoyed it" or "Come see us again". My advice - go to another spa where you'll get a more enjoyable experience at the same price.

  • Pros: parking in rear
  • Cons: not worth the money
