My new fav restaurant. Great italian food, a new fav waiter named Peter who just makes the dinner so much better with his charm and recommendations, great wine specials too !!

I love the papadelle with italian sausage pasta..and they make a great ceasar salad too !! Friendly staff, awesome busboys !!

we visited on Valentines Day evening, such a good energy from the moment we walked in, it was very much like the hussel bussle of a true Italian Trattoria, complete with children. Our waiter was wonderful, lots of good advice on food and wine and always 2 steps ahead cleaning table, filling drinks, pouring our wine etc.. remember when waiters had personality ! this guy is the best..with a little Downton Abbey charm thrown in.. Linguini with seafood was awesome and full of seafood too, not just your token clam and shrimp..The ceasar salad we started with was delicious too. Great value,great service and great casual vibe.. a Valentines Day we will remember.

Charming place. I love this little place. It's a charming relaxing restaurant, and the price is relatively cheap. The food is excellent and so are the staff. And it's clean. Even the rest room!

this place is just ok.. Santa Monica For some reason I want to rate this 3 3/4 stars... almost 4 stars :) First let's say that Montana Ave is a nice section of Santa Monica - there are a few choices to grab a bite to eat. I ran in for a quick early dinner with a co-worker and found myself stuffed! We started with the Fritto Mista, Zucchini, Shrimp and seasoning.. I love Zucchini and it would have been so easy to blow this appetizer and it was very good. I ordered the Chicken Parmigana and my friend ordered the Chicken Balsamico.. I liked her order better as my Chicken Parm was just good. I would say that the service was good, but the resturan was busy so it took a little while to receive our food. For the money, I would most certainly make it back!

Ask for Peter. This Louise's has an amazing waiter by the name of Peter. We come here for the excellent food and atmosphere but the service really makes our dining experience complete. Peter's recommendations are always spot on! He is one of the reasons why we have been such loyal customers throughout the years. I highly recommend Louise's to anyone looking for a good California Italian place in Santa Monica.

Perfect for Lunch. I eat here about once a week - I work just down the street. The Cobb Salad is perfect for lunch - huge portions and a very reasonable price tag. Of course, the service makes it just that much better.

Best Bread!. Very delicious bread! One of the waiters here, Peter, is always extra friendly and on the ball with drink refills. He is very attentive, but not overwhelming as some waiters can be. The pasta dishes here really stand out, the portions are very sizable (enough for leftovers or splitting) and are also very well priced for today's economy.

neighborhood restaurant. if I need a good laugh or want to feel at home I come here to see Peter, the Aussie. Funny, charming but always appropriate - just like our neighborhood restaurant should be.

top notch. The dinner was amazing with top notch service. Very kind and attentive. The food was out of this world!!!
