Though extremely popular with brides and their parties, this Santa Monica shop is flush with much more than nuptial-ready white dresses. The in-house line covers everything from cotton and wool jersey tees and cardigans in rich shades of grey and plum to chiffon frocks and ruffled silk blouses in navy and mauve. Well-constructed items like white and black pants can also be found throughout the upscale warehouse-looking shop on rows of neatly spaced hangers displaying this same color palette on various luxurious shades and textures. Short, white slip dresses are playfully paired with rustic brown boots, suggesting that laidback brides may indeed have an oasis at last. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the wiry, resident pooch is worth a look-see.
Hits: Well-made, consistent clothes and an especially warm staff for a store having anything to do with the world of weddings.
Misses: The clothes may be deceptively simple-looking, but price points are high: $180 for a tee and $490 for a snapfront cardigan!
