Mediocre Food and TERRIBLE Service

Looking for Thai food and saw the place while driving by. Oops wrong decision. We were seated in a booth with bright sunlight directly in our eyes. We asked to be moved. Got attitude from the waiter. The waiter wanted to show off and take our order by memory. It was a large place with a number of filled tables. Wondered if he would get it right and he did not. We were served a beef instead of chicken, we got rice for two of our party of four and did not receive on of our dishes. The waiter never came back to check on us so we could tell him about the wrong order, missing rice and our other order of food. A person in our party had to get up and go to the front counter to ask about the rice, missing order and wrong order. The waiter never came but the other tables waitress came and brought us rice and took the missing order off our bill. Obviously the service was horrific and the food was very mediocre.....the place is stingy with their vegetables too.

Will never go back.

STUPID Owners or Management!

The food overall is not my problem - not the best food but not the worst either.... The service - everyone seems like very nice people however no one there is very good with speaking ENGLISH and therefore if you want something explained like i did today - they didnt really have to be accountable and it was frustrating to me... To make a long story short - THEY dont do lunch specials for carry out (why - i will never know)! At first, they said the lunch specials for carryout does not include rice (not just soup but rice too)... I later determined that they just dont offer lunch specials to go which i was not told correctly due to the language barrier... On second thought i guess i could of just ordered the food to eat there and as soon as the food landed on my table i could of just asked for everything boxed to go but i only thought of this after i had already left. Regardless, owners and/or management if you are reading this - CHANGE YOUR STUPID policy before you go out of business! Give your customers (who are always right) some stupid ass rice with there lunch specials to go!! The tough communication with the service is what youre gonna get at asian restaurants and i accept that but no rice or in this case no lunch specials for carryout or lunch specials with no rice business has to GO!! I ended up paying close to $12 for my shrimp dish and order of rice and thats officially not in the lunch special price zone I will check in periodically to see if indeed the policy was updated but until it is this is one customer that will be going elsewhere for THAI food! I blame STUPID Owners and or Management!!

GROSS!! METAL IN MY PAD THAI!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. We ordered take-out from this place tonight for the first time. The food was tolerable, not good by any means. Then as I'm eating my pad thai I feel like there is a bone in my mouth. When I pulled it out, it was a long piece of metal about an 2 inches long! I called to complain and guess what? They offered to give me credit towards my next meal! Ya right? I said there will never be a next meal at Thai Dishes. Supposedly they are sending someone to refund me for the one pad thai, but not the other food even though we were all too disgusted to eat it. I would never recommend this place.

BEST Thai Food in Santa Monica...and I have tried them all!

Soooo delicious with a very pleasant ambiance! It's clean and comfortable, the service is fast and efficient, the food is delectable and authentic and the prices are quite reasonable.

horrible food: salty, unclean and YECCH!

After many years boycotting them we tried them again. I should have stopped by here first.

Their food was even worse than a few years ago! Their service (better:DIS-service) had become worse too.

But REALLY, worst of all was the food!

Just HORRIBLE, it tasted (and looked) as if somebody had smashed together the leftovers and fried them up. I had Broccoli with beef (if it was really beef, I doubt it) and it was truly the worst I had for many many years. I could find other vegetables and whitish meat in it, and it tasted just salty. Totally DISGUSTED with that place. I tried to tell the "manager", but he totally rejected everything and was offensive on top of everything!

AVOID!

Wish there was a way to give zero stars, because that is what they deserve.
