Good karaoke, bad service

A decent place for karaoke, however waitresses/bartenders are often downright rude. After giving $1 tip per beer for 7 beers and then skipping once, the bartender told me my next beer would cost $1 extra due to my lack of tip. I strongly suggest picking up a 6 pack at walgreens across the street rather than paying $7 for a bottled beer at this place.

I don't know what santamonicacares on this site is talking about! The Gaslite has the best karaoke in santa monica. Sounds like you are a bitter person who doesn't know how to project into a mic.
The KJ's rock (especially the chicks!!!!) Great in between music and they are so fun!! RUN to this place...it ROCKS!

The bar is a Westside legend and the staff is cool. "Open at 6:00 a.m."! At the same time, if you're looking to sing go anywhere else for Karaoke.
The KJ is the absolute worst in West LA. She not only bumps anyone else when her friends show up, but she also mics her buddies up while she drops the levels for everyone else to barely audible. It is a total Karaoke embarassment. There's just too many good Karaokes around Santa Monica to allow yourself to be treated as poorly as the Gaslight's KJ treats anyone who doesn't make her "friend" list.

Meters on Wilshire are free after 6pm. Complimentary parking (15 spaces) behind the club is accessible via 21st or Wilshire.
When to Go:
Every Saturday at noon, there's an open forum with Santa Monica City Council members to discuss local politics and indulge in free pizza, soda and blues.
