Boy, did Dr. Mintz really helped me solve a lifelong problem. I did well in school but it was often only a last-minute anxiety-driven supreme effort that pulled me through. Dr. Mintz explored with me my career and relationship issues and difficulties and in doing so, found I had a hidden Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) which was seriously getting in the way of my life goals. With his psychiatric help, I was able to get back on track. He placed me on an ADD medication which helped me focus clearly for sustained periods of time. What a difference!

Psychotherapy never hurt so good.

As an obstinately independent, type A personality kind of a guy, admitting I needed help wasn't easy. I was isolated in a sea of fear and denial. After going through several failed relationships where I ended up hurt, rejected and betrayed, I got lucky when a friend recommended I see Dr. Mintz. Therapy with Dr. Mintz literally changed my life. He helped me understand how I was sabotaging my own future by continually repeating the past. We figured out what went wrong in my childhood that motivated me to keep making the wrong choices. Discussing my reactions with him allowed me to finally make the kind of choices that opened up a positive future for me. I am very grateful for his patience and his insight. I wish I had met him years ago.
