The Scene – Like many other gallery owners, Ruth Bachofner got her start as a private art dealer and consultant. In 1984, after a decade of consulting, she opened her gallery on La Cienega Boulevard. Three years later, the gallery moved to Santa Monica, eventually taking up residence in Bergamot Station. – – The Goods – The gallery mainly displays painting, sculpture and works on paper by both new and more established talents, and unlike many other Bergamot Station galleries, the focus is not strictly local artists.
