Le Petit Cafe is a hidden gem in Santa Monica for French Food. The ambience is cozy & friendly. The staff is attentive and serves with a smile. And the food is amazing. I love their Chalkboard Menu specials!!!

Every detail from the appetizer to the dessert...flawless. Kir Champagne was excellent. If you love liver there is no better place to go, and the trout was without parallel...as was the ratatouille and potatoes. Bread was divine. Waitstaff personable and engaging and the flavor overall was out of LA city and like a bit of Europe in our own backyard. A true gem.

Super tasty French restaurant on Broadway in Santa Monica. The owner always walks around in the evenings making sure everyone is happy and enjoying the food. The staff is nice and the food is great!

Excellent French Food/ wonderful service in a charming environment

Le Petit Cafe is an excellent French neighborhood bistro, the chef/ ower and the waitresses are all French. We've loved everything we've tried the trout, steak, salads, chocolate mousse, wines, crab cakes, wonderful duck which despite the mediocre review the duck was sensational. This is a restaurant of great integrity nothing is frozen, everything is fresh and the staff all take great pride to be working there! They do use salt, seasonings and herbs they just don't over season/ over-salt. One reviewer who didn't know anything about food good thought the mashed potatotes which we've had there on several occasions were frozen, that's hardly the case, they're made fresh to order in the French manner! Everything about Le Petit Cafe is perfect and wonderful, a wonderful addition to SM.
