Great sauce selection. I went in with some friends after leaving Library Alehouse. I noticed all the hot sauces on the wall, and was asking the servers about them. They said 357 Mad Dog was the hottest they had and gave me it to try some. I poured a little on a chip, and they warned me that was way too much. So my friends and I dipped other chips in. Didn't seem to bad at first. But then it hit. I started sweating, crying... We had to get some milk from the Coffee Bean across the street.

MADE ME SICK- I'LL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!. HATED IT- OVERPRICED BUT INTERESTED IN THE FOOD UNTIL IT MADE ME REALLY SICK- TALK ABOUT OVERRATED! (NOT TO MENTION SICKENING) THERE ARE SO MANY REAL MEXICAN PLACES IN THIS AREA- SAVE YOURSELF A BUCK AND THE TRIP.

best burrito - as big as your head.... reviews here enticed me to try HG - a neighborhood spot. i have never been disappointed. all the tacos are great, particularly the fish. tonight i had the carne asada super burrito. it is HUGE (i didn't get sour cream). i ate perhaps 1/3 and now have food for tomorrow lunch and dinner.

the food is good quality, tastey and not greasy. this is not fancy food - but it is great food.

Look no further. I'm a burrito junky so I was pleased to find Holy Guacamole. They offer authentic tasting burritos with your choice of meat. The basic burrito comes with beans, rice, onions, cilantro, and meat. For a little extra you can get the Super with guacamole, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. I recommend the Super because the basic can be a little dry but are still good -- depends on what you're in the mood for. Burritos come with chips and your choice of red or green salsa. Make sure you can handle a hot sauce because these aren't for the mild at heart.

Great Food!. I completely agree with the several other reviewers of Holy Guacamole. The food is outstanding! Better yet, I never feel sick and bloated after eating here! My favorite is the simple Carne Asada burrito. It's stuffed with meat, beans and rice. Love the salsa as well. Don't forget to get a container of the marinated carrots and onions as well! This is definitely the perfect place to satisfy those late night munchies!

Best kept secret on Main Street!. Best late night spot for mexican food in Santa Monica. Love that they have fat free and vegetarian beans & rice. Fun atmosphere to grab a taco at the counter on your way to/from the bars on Main Street. And, best of all its locally owned & operated.

fast, cheap & oh so yummy!. This is the best place to get mexican in Venice. I completely agree with a previous post that it is difficult to share the secret. Awesome FRESH food. Simple and good. Very friendly owner. Love the free spicy carrots & peppers and gum. Fat free and vegitarian beans & rice. I just can't say enough. Grab a taco at the counter on your way to a bar!

OPEN TACOS. Look for the two neon signs: "OPEN" and "TACOS". Holy Guacamole (a.k.a. "Open Tacos") is one of the reasons I moved near Main Street. I always order two fish tacos and a chicken tamale, but the burritos are good too. Good food, good atmosphere, the best chips in town, and they're open late to cure your munchies after a night of booze and boredom at the nearby bars. If you like a little heat, get into the bucket of carrots and jalapeños (free for you). If you go there enough times, I bet you'll try one of those Mexican soft drinks once (and only once); they are certainly not made of the best stuff on Earth. Open Tacos is the best!

My secret burrito spot.. I almost hate to share this. Holy guacamole has great tacos, burritos, and of course guac! Definitely try the carne asada!
