Great food, great ambiance, great service but waiters/waitresses are animals. What ruined this entire thing for me was crass ill behaved waiters and waitresses who have positively no sense of manner at all whatsoever. They bark at you, they growl, they make left field comments, and are people you dont want to interact with in the real world. This was all really odd because the managers were great, the hostess was great, the food was also great as was the atmosphere. But the ones you interact with the most, were sheer animals. No, despite everything else, I wont be back here. No courtesy, ill mannered, ill behavior. The waiters/waitresses are under the same pressures as anywhere else in the world but you never see behavior like this. Animals.

Becoming less alluring. I just returned there for the first time in 6 months. I've never had the food, but enjoy stopping by for a drink. They overhauled the drink menu (doing away with the best drink on it, The Cartel), and raised the prices on their specialty drinks by 50%.

Good for many purposes. World is a decent place to start the weekend, grab dinner or recover in the morning. I went the day after my birthday and the server we had was just amazing. Food isn't bad. I like their dinner more than breakfast (breakfast on Main is at Omelet Parlor)

avoid late lunch. albeit i visited this place during in between hours but the service was absolutely horrendous! i waited at my table for 20 minutes without even a glass of water. when i finally got the waitress's attention, she seemed annoyed and half-heartedly apologized. the food was below average and half of it was cold! i don't think they'll be getting my patronage!

Below standard cust service and food for the cost and ambiance. Looks pretty nice on the outside but the World Cafe is like an expensive call-girl with a substance problem. Looks kind of good on the outside but once you get in, (take the bait) the customer service leaves a lot to be desired and the food is sub-standard. It's like she's wearing a D&G on the outside, but she's TGI Fridays on the inside. The portions are small and my Gfriend hated her food. This was for plates at $22-25 a pop. As another reviewer said before, nobody ever asked us if the food was OK or if anything was OK. We sat outside on the terrace, which was kind of nice. But, the seats are really uncomfortable (cheap) and the ground is uneven so one feels like one is about to fall over backwards at any moment while eating. Not a pleasant feeling. This place is pricey and they should pay more attention to detail, which would make the whole experience nicer. Overall big thumbs down. Plenty of other nice places to eat in the area, avoid this one.

Best Cocktails and Bar Staff on the westside...also the bomb Wood Fired Pizza. World Cafe was a very nice and unwinding night out for me.....I sat at the bar and tasted some amazing happy hour pizza with pesto sauce and pine nuts made from scratch...you could tell....The Bar staff was awesome, the Manager JC was great...all in all the cocktails were the best...Not going to lie they pour a stiff cocktail here and all made from scratch as well....Very inventive decor....You gotta check this out one day....

Gorgeous setting, average food.. As mentioned before in previous reviews the patio is really appealing. It is a relaxing environment to enjoy a meal and drinks. My friend and I shared the tiger shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer. Which was really tasty. As for my entree I had the beef stroganoff special made with NY sirloin steak. Not the best I've had, but it was still tasty. Overall, an above average place to eat.

I'd rather eat at Friday's. I think this was some of the worst food I ever paid to eat. It was like a bad wedding dinner. I had the grilled citrus chicken, which they served with instant mashed potatoes! The chicken was bland and rubbery and the spinach tasted like burnt garlic, ditto for the spicy pesto pasta dish. I am amazed this place can stay in business and was even crowded. Shame on them that dinner for 2 cost us $100 and they serve such terrible food. We'll turn down the next invitation to meet up here!

Horrible. God-awful fare. Half my steak was fat (not kidding), harder to chew than rubber even when it was cooked rare and, believe it or not, it just tasted bad. How on earth can someone manage to make a steak taste bad I don't know, but whatever "chef" they have working at this place has managed to do so. It tasted like decaying cheese and putrid flesh, seasoned with an entire bag of salt. My wife's sea bass tasted like canned tuna. Maybe it was.

We had to keep reminding our "waiter" to bring us our drinks. He finally complied, after fifteen minutes. We asked for more bread, that took half an hour. After that, he disappeared. He showed up to ask how everything was after we were already done, right after we asked one of the busboys for the check (time to "earn" his tip).

Lots of young couples on their first date, groups of local college kids wearing sweatshirts and caps, and the occasional older couple dressed as if they were twenty years younger trying to act as if they were thirty years younger. Nothing wrong with this, just not my type of crowd, especially at a place where I paid over $100 for food and drinks I could get at Denny's for a about a third of that.

Nice patio though. It fails to make up for the horrible food and service.
