Yummy thin crust on the Westside. Always searching for the best thin crust pizza, my husband and I try many. We thought we'd settled on a favorite in Venice/Santa Monica, until we got a flyer for Classic Pizza, and gave them a call. While their pies are a bit on the expensive side, they are some of the best we've tried. The sauce is flavorful, the toppings are well distributed ... but the crust is the best. Bubbly thin crust that is at once flavorful and chewy. We might ask for a well done pizza next time, just so the pizza stands up a little better under the toppings, but I think we may have found our new favorite. I love the salads, too. Typically, I like my own large salad to myself, but I found these big enough to share (Chopped chicken salad had fresh romaine lettuce, mozzarella cubes, fire-grilled chicken and a lovely mild vinaigrette.) The store is located in Santa Momica, but they delivered to our place in Venice.

Where SMC students go. I haven't ordered much else on the menu besides the standard pizza and chicken wings meal for a good study snack at nearby Santa Monica College but it's worth it. If you order a large pizza, you get an appetizer for free (but you have to ask). Get the wings. They're bigger and better than any other pizza place in town and they give you a lot. They also deliver all over Santa Monica.
