Best... Chicharron... EVER!. I'm tired of people whining that there is nowhere to sit. They have a counter to stand at, AND a little bench to on. It is street food, not a sit-down restaurant. Geez.

Bottom line? I'd stand on my head and eat here. I LOVE this place. Chicharron is outstanding; Cabeza super tender; Heaping piles of carnitas. And best of all, 1.25 for a taco and NO TAX!!!

GO HERE!!! Trust me. And after 5 or 6, parking is easy, as you can park at the auto shop next door. =)

Best Shrimp cocktail in the USA. I live around the corner of this cash-only take out joint and they serve up the best shrimp cocktail ever,and a small is only $5 bucks. It's about 8 small shrimp floating is a spicy melange of salsa and avocado - add Tapitio, a little catsup, drop the carrotts and jalepano in from the baggie they give you, and wow! You've got a meal! All of the seafood is super fresh because there is a line of customers all day long. The carnitas, asada, other Mexican fare is top notch, but we go for the shrimp!

Higher Prices, Smaller Portions. The portions, especially the burritos, have disappointingly dwindled to the size of a run-of-the-mill burrito in LA...smaller than La Salsa or Baja Fresh and without the condiment choices or seating that those places provide. Still pretty tasty and good for a quickie Mex fix.

Shrimp burrito shack!. There's no place to sit, there's no place to park, and it's hard to spend more than $6 to get full, but the experience is worth it! For about $4, I get the shrimp burrito which is packed with all sorts of awesome stuff besides the shellfish, and it's great to drive down to Santa Monica and eat on the picnic tables on the beach.

Best and cheapest seafood burritos!. Every time we go here my husband and I share the shrimp burrito and the seafood burrito. We always say we're gonna try soemthing new because it all looks good, but the shrimp and seafood burritos are just so tasty (and cheap, like everythign here. I tihnk they're $3.50 for each huge burrito) that we always get the same thing! The guys behind the counter are a little surly but you'll forgive them when yo utaste the food. Get it to go and drive down Rose Ave to the beach, there are picnic tables there.

A little slice of heaven. I love this place. I usually order the carne asada burrito and carne asada taco for lunch or dinner. Heck, sometimes I've eaten there for lunch and dinner. Dollar for dollar, this is the best Mexican food in LA. I will not argue about this.

La Playita, Santa Monica. The value cannot be beat; highly recommended!! Don't expect a table or chairs, but enjoy anyway.

the best shack in town. this little gem is the smaller sibling to the Mariscos Guillen in Hawthorne. the seafood is fresh and the prices are great. lines are long during lunch, but you can call ahead to cheat. there is no indoor seating but there is a bench outside that you can fight over. where else can you get seven good oysters for $2.50?

Bueno!. Why are so many people standing outside around this little shack? Just the best value in authentic Mexican seafood. The seafood cocktails are served in styrofoam cups, but they don't seem to measure the ingredients. My shrimp cocktail had over two dozen large shrimp. The shrimp burrito is also packed. Everything is fresh, made to order. And the prices are low. Just don't expect to sit down. It is a walk-up window where everyone stands around braving the traffic on Lincoln Blvd.
