the soup is molto bene!

Amelia makes the best soup on the west side. She makes a soup with chicken and spinach that makes you cry for joy. Seriously.

I got hooked on her croissants too. They are perfectly European. No Canola oil or Lard here. Strictly butter, more butter and flakey croissants.

• Pros: awesome food at a great price!
• Cons: Its not next door.

Secret Ace Up My Breakfast/Lunchtime Sleeve

I stumbled upon this little cafe one day while attending the farmer's market across the street - and it is fabulous! The owner and his wife and son work behind the counter. The food is FRESH and the baked goods are baked fresh that day in-house! They specialize in homemade soups and they are delicious. The sandwiches are way-above average, in terms of their quality and tastiness! I would not hesitate to try this place out - you may find that it becomes one of your favorite places.

Lovely for Lunch

Amelias has THE most charming staff. They are simply darling and their smiles are always genuine. Just get there early for the croissants!
