What People Are Saying About Wildflour Pizza

In Short – The bright yellow frontier storefront, hardwood interior and sawdust-sprinkled floor make the perfect setting for a quick slice--the back patio is right for taking time. The thin-crust pizza hosts all toppings, from the expected (mushrooms, meatballs, onions) to the gourmet (feta cheese, roasted red peppers, artichokes). Some diners opt for the build-your-own option: Wildflour's health-conscious suggestions (such as cheese-free or whole-wheat crust) and the choice of tomato sauce or pesto. The dough is made on-site.
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- The adjacent lot charges, but street parking can be difficult, as meters rarely open up on Main Street.
- Save Money:
- Specials are all day, everyday, and include combo deals like a pizza slice with side salad and drink, and spaghetti or lasagna with side salad and bread.

Best Pizza West On The Atlantic Ocean
by Bergypirde
Wildflour Pizza is by far the best pizza on the West Cost. How could anyone every say anything negative about the Wildflour. These people obviously woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or have some type of financial investment with a competing pizzeria. The freshness and service gets 5 Stars in my book. Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a piece of LOVE. I sure did.....

There are so many wonderful pizza places out there, it is a complete mystery to me how this one ranked so high. We live in Canoga Park, but we were going to a show at the Aero so I hopped on citysearch to check out local pizza places. Wildflour sounded promising, but ugh, what a disappointment! I will drive from Canoga Park to Los Feliz just for the insanely good Pizza Rosa at Palermo in Los Feliz, or to Hollywood to get the Lightship pizza at Nova Express. That's how dedicated I am to getting good pizza. And there's a great pizza place in Woodland Hills called Paoli's. YUM! Why anyone, even someone who lives in Santa Monica, would head over to Wildflour is beyond me. It's not the worst pizza I've ever had, but it certainly isn't good, let alone great. It is on par with frozen pizza, which is cheaper and you don't have to leave the house.
- Pros: It didn't take too much time to get from there to the Aero.
- Cons: Everything else.
You have to try this pizza

I'm from outside New York, so I don't know anything about "Boston pizza", but this stuff is the real deal. The crust is crispy, and somehow they manage to get th northeast dough that noone else in LA seems to be able to recreate. Also, it's actually better than a lot of pizza back home as it's not quite as greasy, but just as delicious
mediocre at best

Why is wildflower ranked as one of the 7 best pizza's in all of Los Angeles you ask? I have no clue. Maybe most people eat Mama Celeste at home? Maybe people like Little Caesars or papa John's? I live 1 block from wildflower and I will either walk to Dagwoods or Bravo Cucino (eat love) both on main st instead of skipping over to wildflower. Boston style crust??? What? Even the whole wheat crust taste like bisquick. The bread seems either very low gluten or maybe its all purpose flour. It lacks that stretch. the cheese is average as well as the sauce. A top quality frozen pizza is hands down better. The people running it are very nice though.. but is that worth chowing down on average slice? Im not saying its garbage really.. but should not be listed anywhere near a best of, let alone top 7 pizza's in L.A..... come on....
- Pros: good size back area for sitting
- Cons: parking, price, taste, dark small on the inside
