Terrible.
The male bartender at this joint actually yelled a few choice words at my girlfriend for sitting down on an empty bar stool that was apparently permanently occupied by another patron who was busy in an another part of the bar. I've never experienced any situation at a bar that even comes close to the way this bartender handled himself.
If you're looking to grab a cheap drink from a hot-headed bartender at a dingy bar that caters to middle-aged British folk, this is the place for you.

GREAT PLACE TO DANCE SALSA!!!!.
Believe it or not, this British pub is one of the best places to dance Salsa around on the WestSide!! On Tuesday nights DJs Dario and Nero spin some of the best tunes in LA. There's a nice wooden dance floor, the people are friendly and it's never too crowded. Rather it's cozy and intimate and everyone knows everyone else. And of course, there's Jimmy the friendly bartender. So com'on all you dancers, check this place out!

$10-$20 Cover charge for soccer games that are not on pay-per-view, but are on ESPN!.
they charge $10-$20 cover charge for things like the Euro Cup final when it is on free television not pay per view, isn't my money for pints and tips enough?

Jolly good fun at this bona fide British pub..
In Short
This large, bright, no-frills tavern is a longtime local favorite with sports fans, beer aficionados and expatriates. The oak-paneled walls surround a couple of dilapidated pool tables, televisions broadcasting "the match," garish alcohol promotions and the prerequisite dartboard. A small (underused) stage sits in front of a giant mural of John Lennon strumming his guitar. Drinkers pound Stella and Guinness by the pitcher and nosh on authentic pub grub like meat pies and fish and chips.

Best fish and chips in LA!.
I love this place. The bartenders are always friendly and fun. And the fish and chips are the best I've had in LA.

Extremely Rude on the phone.
Called in to ask if they were showing a game that night, responded with an abrupt no and hung up before I could even finish my question

Long a favorite!.
We've been going to this place for about seven years now, and we've never had a bad experience. Rarely crowded in the evenings -- they must make their money on those morning soccer game crowds. Friendly staff, plenty of seats, great English beers and sometimes Scottish, Irish, French or Belgian beers. And the traditional pub food is crazy cheap -- one of the best values in Santa Monica. If you're tired of squeezing yourself into one of the crowded, loud British bars near the Third Street Promenade, definitely give this a try.
