Great Alterations :). Maggie the owner is fantastic! I wanted a mermaid dress but fell in love with the top of an A line dress. She told me she could turn the A line dress into a mermaid dress. I was a little nervous not knowing if it would end up fitting the way I wanted, but Maggie made my dress perfect, exactly what I wanted. You would never guess my dress was an A line before. This place had the best prices out of all the dress shops I went to. It gets a little busy and you might have to wait a little to be helped in the store but the end results are amazing.

I had a really good experience here with Maggie. I had a really good experience here with Maggie. I found the dress that I wanted for my wedding elsewhere in Los Angeles, and was given price quotes that were out of my range. Maggie was able to lower the price of the dress so that I could afford it. I really appreciated the time she spent with me.

House of Brides gives you great prices. House of Brides gives you great prices. I saw and found my wedding dress @ a different bridal shop and I called around to find the dress for a better price and Maggie gave me a real good deal. The owner is really honest about what looks good on you and will not lie about a dress to make a sale. The store does get pretty busy on Fridays and weekends, so you may have to wait a little bit, but she will definitely help you out.

I had a great experience with House of Brides. I had a great experience with House of Brides. The owner Maggie was very nice and helpful, and she offered the best price (and I did a lot of shopping around). I ordered my wedding dress and my bridesmaids dresses from the store. All dresses arrived on time and the alterations were great. I still go back to Maggie for alterations because it's done very professionally and I recommend my friends and family to her store for the best price and alterations.

Nice, family-owned shop. Delivered the goods!. I had a really good experience here with Maggie. I found the dress that I wanted for my wedding elsewhere in Los Angeles, and was given price quotes that were out of my range. Maggie was able to lower the price of the dress so that I could afford it. I really appreciated the time she spent with me.

From the beginning, I wanted to make an alteration to the top of the dress (there was a big bow that I wanted removed). Maggie was upfront with me that there would be an issue with covering the seam where the bow had been (something no other dress shop I spoke with mentioned). She is talented and creative and was able to whip up an amazing fix for the problem. My dress is beautiful.

Maggie was also able to hem the bottom of the dress, which was a series of complicated petals. When she was finished, the dress looked better than the original layout.

When I came into the store, I was nervous about purchasing the dress so far away from where I lived. However, I ran into a woman there who had bought her wedding dress from Maggie and was now bringing her friend in to do the same. That really re-assured me.

My advice to any bride would be to get your initial quotes - from all of your wedding vendors - in writing. Wedding dresses generally take a long time to come in and you/the vendor won't remember what you agreed upon unless you get it in writing. If you do that here, you won't have any problems. Maggie is a talented seamstress and will take care of you. You will look beautiful on your wedding day!

Enjoyed my experience. I really enjoyed my experience with this bridal shop. I ordered ten dresses from them and I received them three weeks prior to the date she promised. She discounted so much because we needed ten.

Great price. I ordered my Jasmine Couture gown from House of Brides. The price she gave me was fantastic - Like MsBella said - it was below all the online quotes I had received plus there was no S&H! I saved about 40% off the highest quote I had received in other shops. The dress came in a couple of weeks earlier than she told me it would and I had no problems picking it up. Yes, it was very busy but she got my gown for me and put me in a "room" to try it on. I am not having my alterations done through her so I'm not sure of the service in that regard. But if you are looking for a great price on a gown this is the place to go!
