No visit to LA is complete without a "dip" into the gravy pool of goodness served up at Philippe's. The staff is super friendly too. If they were located closer to my house, I'd be as big as my house!

French Dip Wars, Part I. In the legendary battle of the French dips, Philippe gets my vote. I am partial to the beef sandwich, double-dipped (natch) and top it with a dollop of the rip-snorting house mustard. Don't let the sawdust-covered floor fool you, Philippe offers some great wines by the glass.
