The Chinese Restaurant of Choice for my Family. Like another reviewer, I have been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. It has recently changed ownership and the new owner, Simon, has remodeled the place and it looks great! The best part is, the new owner kept the menu practically the same and the taste of the food hasn't changed. Here's the typically family order - start with the sizzling rice soup, then order peking duck, pork chop with spicy salt, the cod with black bean sauce, either the chinese broccoli or the snow peas and mushrooms, sizzling beef, and the house special pan fried noodles. The place has some of the best prices for lunch as well! I normally like to go during the weeknight around 8 or 9 but any time is a great time to eat at Regent.

Always Great Food!!!. I too have been going since I was a kid. My family has been going there for many generations and we will continue to eat there. The food is fantastic and you must try the squab with lettuce wraps and the Mayonnaise Shrimp!!!! BEST Shrimp in all of LA and South Bay area!!!

User review by ivy99. One of my all time favorite restaurants good atmosphere and great value (especially at lunch time)! This gem in Chinatown is nice for large families since its a lot roomier than most of the other well known restaurants in the area. Its served elsewhere but I love Regent's crispy fried shrimp with spicy salt!

One of the best authentic in Chinatown. I've been going to Regent since I was 9 years old and the food is absolutley delish. They have the best lunhc specials around...try the crabs with black bean sauce or their pork chop with spicy salt...let me know what you think....
