My husband ranted and raved about this place, so one night we ended up going..... I was hesitant, I am Mexican-American....I thought I have tried it all..... I was totally wrong ...... This place is a bit old fashioned and small, but the TAQUITOS, CHILES RELLENOS, and SALSA are the BEST !!!!!! Honestly that night I ended up in the hospital (gall stones)...... and HONESTLY it was all worth the ER visit........ LOVE THIS PLACE !!!
- Pros: FOOD, INEXPENSIVE, LOTS OF HISTORY (OLVERA STREET)
- Cons: Parking, small dining area
Best taquitos on this planet

If you live in LA...stop what you're doing and go...go now. My husband was born and raised in LA, he took me here on my very first trip and I fell in love. I know it's terrible, but I don't care if I'm not hungry...I'll still stop and get taquitos. We've spent the last 6 years trying to decipher the avocado salsa....I'm beginning to think it's made of magic and I need not question it...mmmmmmmmmm...delicious!!
- Pros: Everything is good! Try a chile relleno too!
- Cons: If you're too prissy to eat standing up, don't go
the best damn taquitos

anyone in the downtown area, definitely needs to stop and grab a #1 on the menu. its the best sauce and a mix of the tastiest beans with the freshest beef and tortillas, you cant pass up. on a way to a game, stop before you spend the $ on a hot dog. or when you come home to catch the 101 south, pull to the right and park to enjoy the best on olvera street. a small street with lots of fantastic history and big taste.dont miss out.
