I just moved back downtown, and I can't frankly believe I'd never stopped inside. Immediately greeted by a friendly staff and the service was great. Split the chicken teriyaki, the chicken katsu and the gyoza with a friend. The large plates came with miso soup, salad with ginger dressing and macaroni. Everything was enjoyable and my favorite part was tailoring the sauce to my preferences with the table-side ingredients. Little Tokyo FTW.

I've never gone to Koraku for any other reason except the ramen...mmmm. With plenty of options, and noodles that taste fresh and home-made, this spot is unbeatable. It can get smokey in there and you're definitely leaving with a bit of flavor on your clothing - but it's well worth the inconvenience.

I love coming to this place for some good Japanese food. What I like is that they give large portions for really cheap... and it's delicious! It may seem very old-fashioned inside, but the people there are extremely nice!
