Editorial Review for Ocean Seafood – by Martha Burr
The Scene
Cantonese seafood doesn't get much better--or fresher--than this. You'll find a wall of aquariums that are teeming with lively (sometimes bizarre-looking) fish, shrimp, lobster and crab. Spiffy uniformed waiters buzz around the dining room, offering impeccable service and dining suggestions. Heed their advice--they know what they're talking about.
The Food
It would be a crime not to eat Ocean Seafood's famous shrimp, prepared a variety of ways, the most popular being boiled up and peeled right at the table; the sweet, clean meat is similar to a tender langoustine. Fried oysters arrive golden and sizzling, breaking open to reveal steaming clouds of perfect flesh. Another standout dish is the Peking duck, dramatically carved and served tableside in two delicious courses. The kitchen also dishes out beef, chicken and pork that rival Hong Kong's own.

I am American (born in Queens, New York) and married to a man from Hong Kong. We travel all over the world for both business and pleasure. A friend of mine recommended Ocean Seafood for lunch and boy did we love it. The atmosphere and food reminded us so much of Hong Kong. Yes, it was crowded but what do you expect. I did read several reviews and I agree with all the positive ones. It’s a great place to bring families and friends, (we had 10 people in our party). Our kids loved the live fish. You should really try their deserts. We had the bean curd and was it good. It was hot and incredibly authentic. You’ll love it. The only downside is the wait, but be patient and come early.
Pros: the Deserts
Cons: the Wait (it was Mother's Day)
