Food poisoning alert. Ate the chicken ceasar salad last Monday night, and woke up with food poisoning the next morning. Vomiting and diarrhea for 4 straight hours. That's my last meal ever at Alpine Village. Now I know why they once had a "C" health rating for many months several years ago. Buyer beware!!

GREAT FOOD, GREAT BEER, GOOD TIMES!. the shops are neat and range from antiques to a dentist.

The OKtoberfest is a blast.

definitely will go again, and again.....and again.

great village!. My dentist is located here, which is pretty sweet. The Village has a whole bunch of cool shops and great food/music.

you should definitely spend a day here!

sorry, Octoberfest. I lived in Germany for 4 years. Octoberfest was my favorite time of year, and I don't drink!!. The food at the resturant was bland and very few varities. This is suppose to be a GermanVillage- I was disappointed. The Market was fabulous and I loaded up on Chocolate and sauerbraut. The music doesn't start until 8:00p.m.

that was the worst, It could at least start at 6:00. The parking is dangerous at night, but I came in the afternoon so I got to enjoy the smelly, junky, flee market atmosphere-yuck-not what a flee market used to be-It's nasty!! Go for the market in the afternoon then go to Redondo Beach--Now that was a Blast!!!

Very disappointing "cuisine". If you enjoy the "ambiance" of a Tijuana junk yard, this is the place to park your car and hope for the best. - If you are looking for extremely bland "cuisine", lacking even the slightest trace of any possible spices, herbs, culinary experience and inspiration, the Alpine Village Restaurant is the place to visit!

Their "German" (what a sad joke!) potato salad definitely contains no evidence of any oil and vinegar or (God forbid) bacon taste. Parsley, onions, hard-boiled eggs, pickles, and other well known ingredients must be a definite "no-no" in their kitchen. Their so-called "Red Cabbage" tastes like straight out of a can. No add-ons, spices, or imagination. Obviously there is no "Chef" on their payroll.

Bring your own salad dressing. What they assume might resemble a traditional Italian Creamy Dressing recipe tastes more like mayonnaise with a lot of neutralizing baking soda mixed in.

If you prefer the consistency of shoe leather be sure to order their "Rouladen". There is absolutely no gourmet taste to be expected or, I believe, even intended by the kitchen staff. If you wear dentures, forget it.

So, with a perfect Tijuana dump setting along with a British fashion super-bland cooking style, be sure to stop by the Alpine Village Inn (Emerald Room or normal seating) and waste your hard earned money!

Guten Appetit! You really will have to be starving and desperate in order to eat there...

Bad Food. I came here for some German culture and food. The staff was very nice and professional and the atmosphere was very good. The food unfortunately was terrible. The menu is VERY small and has a small selection of German dishes. I got the Bratwurst and it was bad. The potato salad had no taste or seasoning, the sauerkraut tasted like it was from a can and the sausage did not taste fresh. I am German and my family is from Germany so I know what German food should taste like. I do not recommend anyone eat here if they do not want to waste their money!

Deutschland in Torrance. Wow, if you are over the age of 60, this place is where it's AT! Dancing, Music, Socializing...simply entertaining for me and my boyfriend who were mos def the youngest in the crowd. We got nice seats in a booth and ordered some fine german food (go for the bratwurst NOT the wiener wuersten) and freshly brewed beer from their very own brewery. The Hefeweizen and Lager were average, but sure helped lighten the mood. A big plus at this Alpine Village is: the German import supermarket next door. Great place to stock up on all German food, supplies, and all sorts of beer! Definitely worth a visit to Torrance. Fun...or should i say...funny?
