Yum. I have had such great service and I always order a desert to go and enjoy the next day. highly recommend for a make yourself feel special
Great Food. I love the food here. Especially the Hawaiian dishes and baked goods. Always fresh and yummy.
Bakery better than Restaurant. I love Hawaiian food and been wanting to try this place every time I'm in the area. It's always so crowded and I usually end up just grabbing goodies from the bakery because the wait is forever! We finally made it to a table one night and I was conflicted on what to order as they have a variety of dishes to choose from. The service was excellent, our waitress was very friendly and attentive to my dehydrated friend that refilled on coke about 6 times throughout our dinner. Between the 3 of us, the combo entrees were a hit or miss. Overall, it was good, I guess I was just expecting better. For the value, I think I prefer the to go version of King's, The Local Place, located not too far from here.
Wonderful bakery with a cozy restaurant attached. Having grown up on King's Hawaiian Sweet Bread, having my wedding cake baked here was a real treat. Their guava chiffon cake in two tiers with a yellow plumeria lei made of butter cream draped across the cake was just beautiful for our small ceremony. Everyone loved the cake, and they even delivered all the way to Los Angeles (near Dodger Stadium). We often visit the restaurant to just get a taste of Hawaiian local dishes. There are more and more restaurants popping up around town that tout themselves as "Hawaiian", but we always enjoy a visit to King's for an authentic local atmosphere.
Best Cakes in the Southbay!. Their cakes & pastries are to die for! Must try all the other ways they make Paradise Cake including Paradise Cheesecake and the Paradise Delight!! Service is great, food is awesome, a taste of Hawaii in the Southbay!!
Editorial Review. Famous for sweet bread, this bread company's restaurant serves Hawaiian dishes like kalua pork, loco moco and teriyaki chicken.
Remember the Bakery!. The restaurant food is tasty, with generous portion sizes, and the Paradise cake is really good. But don't forget to stop in the bakery on your way out. In addition to the King's Hawaiian Bread (in many incarnations), there are delicious pastries. I had a Florentine and brought home a Strawberry Eclair. Both were wonderful, and the filling in the eclair was still good two days later after being refrigerated.
Quality over Quantity. King's Hawaiian is a beautiful restaurant that is family-friendly and hangout friendly. They serve everything in huge portions and the customer service is amazing. They will always take care of their customers and make sure your food is on time. I love their large varieties and of course, there desserts! Paradise cake!!
The Best. We already loved Kings but now our whole family loves Kings & their bakery IS the BEST. We had our wedding catering by King's & of course our cake & Kona coffee too. Excellent service, excellent food & a wonderful family atmosphere. After being to Maui it is wonderful to be able to come to a place that can take us back to the Island even if it's only for an hour : )
Hawaii In California. Kings brings a touch of Hawaii to California. The menu offers many local hawaiian dishes and amazing desserts. The restaurant and staff match the theme of Hawaii. Great food. Great atmosphere.
