PIA- Great All Around!

I love PIA hair salon. I always get a great cut exactly what i want. I've had my hair colored there several times as well. I always get rich color and my hair is glossy and soft despite the work. I have gone to other salons who have left my hair very damaged. When i go to PIA it come out in great shape. Takashi has always done my hair. He is amazing and so friendly. The atmoshphere is relaxed and so friendly. Theres no pressure his recommendations are always great. I went to warren tricomi just to try it out and hated the outcome. I ran back to PIA and I love my hair now. I got much better service and results for less than half the price of WT.

Pia Hair Salon - excellent japanese hair straightener, professional, courteous, knowledgable

I was hesitant about trying the Liscio Straightening System. I've tried Bio-Ionic and another Japanese straightener- forget which one. Anyhow I've gone through the process five times before going to Pia. Each time I had to go back after washing it for the first time because my hair was still curly underneath. I have very curly, frizzy hair thanks to my Russian heritage and it's supposedly very resistant to the chemicals. I finally decided to try another place and found Pia online.

They were amazing. Takashi straightened my hair. He was incredibly thorough and my hair is absolutely stick straight. He warned me that my highlights would frizz out and he was right so he trimmed them out in the front and my hair looks amazing. It looks like it was just flat ironed. I was hesitant about trying a new brand of straightener, but as they all say, it's not the straightener, it's the person performing the process. Do not worry about the language barrier. It's difficult talking on the phone to Takashi because he has a thick Japanese accent, but he did an amazing job. He knows what he's doing. He listened and quietly and perfectly performed the job in the most professional manner possible. I highly recommend him, and the salon! Oh yeh! The price is very cheap! I believe I paid $230 and in addition I tipped him $50 because I took up 3 hours of his time. He didn't charge for the haircut either. The total with tip was $280, whereas I paid $300 elsewhere just for the straightening. I know plenty of people who pay $500 and up for this and my hair looks much better than theirs.

Everyone speaks Japanese so it's hard to communicate with them. Overall, Pia is great!
