Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!. Yesterday I went in to celebrate my birthday like I normally do and have since they opened in 1996. I order my favorite meat trio omellete which if it was on special would have been $6.95. I've always ordered it and when its not on special they usually charge me about $9.75 which is fine with me. Long story short, (By the way the new owner manager is SHORTand Stupid!) They proceeded to charge me $14.50 for a freakin Omellete! This waiter should have let me know of the inlfated costs like the Big Blonde up front! Also, this new waiter, charge us the regular price for the Pancake Combo, $6.95, for an advertized special of $3.95. I brought this to the attention of the waiter who conferred with the short owner and the big Blonde and they all decided to steal an extra $7.75 from me on my birthday! Good Job Guys! After well over 14 years of patronage @ about 2-3 times a week, these clowns will never see me in there or ordering take out again. It was much better when Buddy ran the place.

Awesome. I've been here a few times with the Q-BF and ended up coming again today with my Uncle for lunch.

Today was the first time I noticed a large presence of elderly people. Not that it phases me. They're allowed to leave the house too!

We both went with salmon salads, dressing on the side. I also started off with a cup of picadillo soup. I'm a total soup girl and that picadillo did not lack in any fashion. Delish.

The salads contained fresh romaine lettuce without a sighting of iceberg in the mix. Furthermore, the salmon was a HUGE portion. The seasoning was impeccable; not overpowering, but definetly lending flavor. Last, the dressing that was on the side... well, I'm surprised I didn't lap it up with my tongue. That good. Mhm. I had more than enough to take home with me.

I'll definetly continue frequenting this establishment...

Awesome. Really great experience, overall great service, very friendly. The fish tanks were really cool and very clean, you can tell that the people take really good care of them. I sat out on the patio and it was great. They had the tv's on so I could watch the football game, which was really nice. The christmas decorations were really great, you could tell that a lot of hard work went into them. The food was great, no complaints at all. Quick service. Also they do delivery and catering which is really nice. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends. Really laid back and just a great time.

This welcoming neighborhood grill provides home-style hits with California flair in a spacious street corner locale.. In Short
Leaning a little more towards family-friendly diner than fresh and trendy cafe, this restaurant focuses on the aesthetic of comfort and ease. Located across the street from the tranquil Whittier College campus, the casual spot invites students and families with its big green awnings, plush booths and broad range of California-inspired dishes. The eclectic menu includes a sampling of breakfast dishes, large salads, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, Mexican dishes and grilled meats.

Great customer service, great food. It has been years since I came in here. I visited this place nearly 2 years ago and just recently I went and although we did wait awhile, it was a Saturday night and a very large group was a head of my party. The service never dropped in sincerity. The menu was ample, the place was cozy and relaxing. Their iced tea is delicious and ordering something "simple" will be presented and tastier than you'd expect. I can't wait to go back.

Excellent Food, Great Service, Reasonable Prices. I Love California, I have been going there since it openned. My two favorites are their CHEF'S Favorite Pasta Dish, and Newporter sandwich on Sourdough. The newporter is a wonderful sandwich if you love avacado, they load it on there! The staff is very nice. The prices are excellent ranging from $8-12 per entree. The only thing is that there is always a wait to be seated but the food is well worth the wait!!!
