Horror story of my life

This was my third time going there but this time was for color, and OMG!!! Did they do a number on my hair. This was the worst experience of my life. I was there for 7 hours....YES!, I know crazy. The girl that did my hair was not experience at all, my hair after 8 bottles of toner,( I did highlights) came out looking chunky ugly copper mess... I specifically advise her I don't want chunky; I wanted thin natural looking highlights. My appointment was at 2pm and by 9:20 I was in tears and could not even talk. I had to go there the next day to fix it and she dyed it dark brown/black, after I requested to just dye it one color in which it was a light brown. I requested to talk to the owners, they didn't want to bother and/or acknowledge me. I was so speechless. I kept my cool and know never again will I go there or recommend any of my friends or family to go there. This was an experience of a life time, this horror story will forever be one of those to share.

PS. The lighting is horrible there....great to hide mistakes.

I love this place

It's hard to find a "high end" salon around here but I found this one initially by searching for my local Aveda salon on Aveda's website. Of the two in uptown my friend happened to be interning at Paloma. I went in and was sold just based on the decor and atmosphere. The included mini massage didn't hurt either. My friend has long since moved on but I stayed with Paloma since then. Now (and for the past 3 years) I've been getting my hair cut by Patrick (Pat) and I LOVE him and the work he does. He listens to you and gives a good cut based on what you need/want. I've never gotten something that didn't work or that I couldn't style myself at home. He is good with short AND long hair too. He is honest too and doesn't try to sell you on that "come back in 4-6 weeks" malarky (I don't dye my hair) or recommend services you don't need just to make money. Plus he actually talks to you, getting a cut there is always fun and energizing. He is the greatest hairstylist I've ever had! Highly recommended.

Made my wedding day PERFECT!!

I went to Paloma and had my hair and make-up done for my wedding. I was really nervous (and tired) that morning so I wasn't sure how I was going to look. I'm not used to wearing a lot of make-up and I never wear my hair all glamorous so this was going to be intense. They curled my hair and put my tierra in place so it wouldn't fall then they airbrushed my make-up on. The make-up was really soft .It made my skin look all velvety although it didn't feel heavy. My husband said I looked like I walked out of a magazine. I was soooo happy. Everyone said I looked good but when HE said that I did knew I went to the right salon. This is the place for weddings! And there's also alot of room for bridesmaids. There was another wedding party when I was there. I give paloma an A++

Best Service and Nicest People

I am totally happy with the service I get at Paloma and Friends. The people there are always so nice and I really appreciate the attention I get when I go there. They sell Kerastase which I understand is a high-end hair product. I've only been using it for two months and my hair has made a complete change. I was used to using Aveda so it took me awhile to try a new brand. I have really curly, frizzy hair and I have super blonde highlights. I always have to blowdry it straight then flat iron over and over to get smooth so it doesn't frizz up during the day. It actually is easier to style since I use the Oleo- Relax shine. I really like my stylist he's always giving me tips on how to style my hair and I've been getting compliments ever since I've been going there. Thank you Paloma for my nice hair!!

I LOVE MY HAIR

I've never written a review, but I just had to compliment my hair stylist for making me feel and look great. Not only was it a great experience at the salon, but I really felt comfortable with my hair stylist. The customer service was nice and I received a complimentary message with my hair cut. I was offered coffee, tea, water, or wine. The prices were a little up there, but my stylist still gave me a discount, not that I asked but I guess he figured I got the works and would be nice to give a discount and ensure my return. My hair color is vibrant red and the color has not faded and washed out like I had thought it would. My hair stylist, Jerry Gaona, offered a color enhancer and it also conditions. I recommend this Salon, I got the sense that all of the employees were very professional but if you can try to get an appointment with Jerry.
