Letdown. As a (self-proclaimed) connoisseur of biscuits and gravy, I am always on the lookout for truly great biscuits and gravy. What I found at Barney's Coffee Shop wasnt even close. I read with great anticipation other reviews and promptly headed out the next morning. The gravy was made with bacon (wrong) and was very salty. The biscuits were made with too much shortening. To say they were inedible would be an overstatement, but believe me, they weren't good. Otherwise, standard diner fare with sub-par service.

Gotta have the Biscuits!. My boyfriend brought me here for the first time and it's become a ritual to roll in there after a long night of hanging out with friends. Get there early to try the fresh and delicious biscuits because they run out towards the afternoon. The service is good and the food is priced just right. A definite "must try".

Biscuits and Gravy!!!!. OMG, this place is the best hidden secret in Southern Cal for breakfast! The biscuits and Gravy are the best I have ever tasted. They serve breakfast ALL DAY,so it doesn't matter when you get there. The food is great and very low in price! You can get a phenomenal breakfast under $4.00. But if you want the Biscuits and Gravy, you have to go before noon( well worth it)! It's nice and quiet too for those hung over.

P.S. For big appetites ask for the "Monster Breakfast". It's not on the menu but they'll know what it is (Local Secret). even that is under $4.00!
