Precious little gem
by winni3 at Citysearch
Fantastic restaurant!! I came upon this little gem upon my first visit to Catalina this month. It's right on Summer Ave and you cannot miss its red canopy and exterior. The service is so friendly and the restaurant is so cute. The owner herself greets you at the door and checks up on you periodically to make sure that everything to your liking. Their prices are very good as well. A really good place to hang you hat for a little bit and refuel after walking around the scenic little island. If you are uber hungry and don't plan to spend a lot of money while in Catalina, I highly recommend visiting Mr. Ning's. I don't know who Mr. Ning is, but he's doing a great job.
Great Chinese food from 3-times chef competitions winner
by yurivict at Citysearch
Had dinner there on March 17. Food was GREAT! Vegetarian abalone soup and custom made vegatarian dish were delicious.
Owner who is also a chef welcomed us in a person, took order and cooked all by himelf. Very warm and personable.
Would definitely recommend to anybody who likes Chinese food.
- Pros: great food, nice environment, personable atmosphere
- Cons: none
