The Scene – Nestled in the heart of Avalon just a half-block from the beach, this historic property gives guests an idea of what coming to the island must have been like in the 1920s and 30s. No complaints -- one of the best small hotels I've visited

The Pavilion Lodge exceeded my expectations by far. Cute, trendy, and cozy rooms. Very clean and comfortable beds with nice amenities. They even had Evelyn and Crabtree toiletries! The staff were friendly and helpful, and they helped arrange many of our island tours and activities.
- Pros: Very nice rooms and good service. Clean!
- Cons: No rooms with view because it's a U-shaped built around a central courtyard
