Catalina Stables FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY

I called to make reservations and ask about cancellation policy. They simply said "Call us the morning of if there are any changes." I provided just my first, last name and height/weight of attending parties (2 people, 30 minutes, $84). My plans changed, but I did not call to cancel. They called me and said I would need to pay a late cancellation fee. I told them that I was not going to pay for this fee b/c I was not told about any late cancellation fees, had I known I would have attempted to call. They said they will discuss it with their supervisor, end of call. I later checked my credit card unbilled activity and was charged full amount of the services, $84. I never gave them my credit card number! There could have been no way for them to have access to my credit card number, which means they committed credit card fraud. I had to cancel my credit card immediately. I called Catalina Stables as soon as I saw those charges. I requested to speak to the manager, but got the loop around. DO NOT go to Catalina Stables!

Great Experience!

I went on the 75 minute trail ride and had a great time. The horses all looked healthy and the trail ride allowed us to get a great view of Catalina island. We were assigned horses based upon our riding experience and, as I had none, I had the joy of riding "Cadillac" who basically walked the trail without much direction. The staff was really friendly and, Bob, our guide had a long history with the island and was able to share great anecdotes with us.

If you're a beginner, I'd recommend the 30 minute ride over the 75 minute. 75 minute was a bit too long for me but I still greatly enjoyed myself. Would highly recommend!
