Absolutely Amazing!!! Johnny Rebs' has an amazing CRAFT BEER selection. The Orange Wheat by Hangar 24 Brewery and the Red Trolley by Karl Strauss are both awesome.

Thanksgiving Feast is a Total Rip off. Paid alot of money for not alot of food. Ad stated that the feast would feed 10-12 assuming 1.25lbs of Turkey per person. Got a 9lb turkey (before cooking) and even went back twice to exchange it. Bad business and poor customer service. I would not recommend anyone trying this for Thanksgiving unless you feel like running to the supermarket to buy more food because you can't feed your guests. Tried it for convenience but it ended up being more work then if I had done it myself. Additional items were bland and didn't even taste good. What a waste! save your time and money and don't learn the hard way like I did. I don't recommend this to anyone.

awesome service, food was a waste of money. let me preface this comment by saying that i enjoy food, especially bbq. in fact, you could almost call me a bbq expert as i have tried several restaurants and enjoy cooking the stuff myself. having said that, my dining experience at johnny rebs was completely mixed. while the service was fabulous the food was not up to par. my girlfriend and i went from a suggestion of a friend. we love trying new places so we decided to give it a shot. we were utterly dissapointed by the food. the best thing we sampled was the cornbread and catfish. that should tell you something. we had the two person special with a sampling of a lot of items on their menu including beef ribs and fried chicken. the ribs lacked that smokey flavor, the chicken was dry and their mashed potatoes were bland (its hard to mess up mashed potatoes!). i wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. in fact after leaving the place i regretted not going to Jay Bee's in Gardena. it has much better flavor and the price is very fair.

Fantastic BBQ and the sides are mouth watering. This is a great BBQ joint. Peanuts at the tables-throw the shells on the floor. Perfect for families. Come here for your Birthday and you get to dance a jig and kiss the pig. My family and everyone I've brought here love this place.

Great Food. If you want Southern food this is the place to go. The BBQ sauce is more than delicious. I had the bbq chicken with mashed potatos. The chicken was smoked, juicy, plump but what made this meal beyond great was the bbq sauce - I even bought extra to take home. Have the sweat tea, served in those old time mason jars it brings you back to those days when grandma made you sweet tea. The lemonade is also delicious, its sweet when you taste it ..and tart at the same time ! the servers where great, the peanuts on the table gave the entire place a great ambiance since all the shells where on the floor (surprised me too) oh and the outside is great comple w. logs and cricket sounds. If you want south country this is where to go.

Not worth it, to me anyway. The food at this place wasn't quite what I was expecting. It was okay, but nowhere near "delicious". Considering the fact that my plate alone was about $15 plus a soda worth another $2 or so.. I feel like I got ripped off. The service was absolutely horrible too. I decided after waiting about a half hour for my check to just go up to the front and take care of it myself. The people there seemed nice though, I don't understand what made our waitress seem like she didn't have to come by our table and check on us. Anyway, this place is okay if you absolutely need BBQ and have no other place to go. But I wouldn't reccomend it to any of my friends.

One of my favorites.. Found this place from a coupon offer about 7 years ago and have been a semi regular since. It' my favorite place to get old style fried catfish and Dixie beer. We go there for special occasions and group dinners. The service is usually pretty good with a short wait (Fri. and Sat will be longer but get there before 5:00pm). Portions are ample and the peanuts are free(don't forget to put some money in the jar for charity). If you like their dinner, you will love their breakfast. Chicken fried steak and eggs on a Saturday morning...there's nothing better. The decor takes me back to my teenge years in Virginia.

Over-the-top Southern decor can't overshadow the barbecue at this ersatz roadhouse.. In Short
Peanut shells underfoot greet barbecue-loving locals at this Disney-style re-creation of a roadside shack. Vinyl tablecloths, packaged wet naps and lemonade served in 24-ounce jelly jars strongly indicate casual attire is a must. The key to good barbecue is the sauce, and Johnny Rebs' vinegar-based blend compliments the pork ribs. Fried chicken is coated in peppery cornmeal and crowned with bacon bits. For dessert, apple pie is a deep-fried pocket oozing cinnamon-spiked apples and topped with vanilla ice cream.

Johnnie Rebs Rules. This is great BBQ. No fake wannabes her. No conversions here. This place was built to serve BBQ. If you want great BBQ eat here.

Great place. The Thursday night dinner club ventured here a few weeks ago, and I've taken other friends since.

Great Brunswick stew, collard greens, chicken fried steak, ribs, cole slaw. OUr waitress gave us free desserts because she felt bad that she didn't inform us that the meats were cooked on hickory. WOW!

We're chompin' at the bit to go back and try their Elmer Dill's special.
