Dubbed "home of the live wood fire," this small family restaurant chain was started in 1940 in the city of Lynwood. Families, groups and hungry locals dine amid the dark wood benches and occasional bits of sawdust on the floor. The meaty menu includes entrees such as steak, chicken, and slabs of ribs slathered in a thick, rich sauce. There are also sandwiches, shrimp dishes, spaghetti and a handful of sides like baked potato and sweet barbecue beans.

this restaurant is very good...good service, good food and all around not too expensive either. the bbq plates are the bomb, tasty and fresh. you get alot on your plate for almost nothing!

Chris' and Pitt's is a long time family favorite. They have great take-out! I have been going there since I was alittle girl with my grandparents and it is still a treat.

The place was like a cabin in the mountains. Country look but larger. The people were very friendly. We had no trouble ordering with all the selections of BBQ and sandwiches it wasn't too hard. Great family place and just a good hang out for good food and friends. I will go again.
