great ribeye steaks, very good great service, insult steak house experience, great steak youll, good meal, big outback steak, overpriced way
Outback. very good great service . Steaks great, server very hot my husband thought so too. Love this place Outback is great
Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor..
In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
Best Meal Anywhere. Considering I weigh 375 pounds, I am always looking for a place that serves BIG portions. I found it here. The quality of the food is not important to me so this was perfect--Big Portions of Food that I really enjoyed. Of Course I also enjoy digging in my neighbors pale for old table scraps. My wife watched me eat my whopping big outback steak when she wasn't drooling chunks of blooming onion onto her large chest. We both scarfed down the flaming kangaroo and then finished up with an Outback Sundae that was topped with a folded sausage and pepperoni pizza that I had smuggled into the restaurant inside of my backpack. Yummie!!! I really enjoyed the waitress mostly because she seemed to turn a blind eye when I ate the leftovers from the table next to ours.
Worst Steak Ever!. I've gone to a lot of different steak houses throughout a number of countries in the world including Argentina and Brazil which are both known to having the best steak in the world. This steak house experience was an insult to my taste buds. The steak did not come cooked as requested. Even the service was lousy. I ordered a high quality cut around $30 and specified well done. Within minutes the steak came back with red in the center. Not what I asked and of course the restaurant did nothing to correct the problem. I was going to refuse to pay but my friend who went with me did not want me to make any waves. By the way, his hamburger was also way undercooked. We both left very disappointed. In fact the steak here was even worse than the Sizzler, which is saying a lot because I could not stand the last trip to Sizzler. In fact that experience was the worst until Outback beat them by a landslide. I have not returned to Sizzler since. In fact I won't return to Outback ever again!
Terrible Management. My husband and I were mortified by the customer service. There was an altercation at a table near us because the customer was complaining that the main course was served while the table was still full of empty, dirty dishes--soup, salad etc. The customer politely complained to the waiter who somehow antagonized the customer. Then a series of managers came to the table and continued to antagonize the customers. Finally the main manager called the Lakewood Sherrif to evict the customers who were more than willing to leave. Two of the people in this evicted party were close to 90 years old. It was very pathetic. We will never return to this restaurant.
Worst Dining Experience In Years.
Dirty dishes not cleared from table. Terrible attitudes from employees. Steak--greasy & tasteless. Ribs--very tough. WAY overpriced for what you get. It's Denny's with hardwood floors and at quadruple the prices.
We will never return and highly recommend that anyone who enjoys a good meal avoid this trap.
Insider Tip is wrong!.
It says Newcastle Brown Ale is an Australian beer. It's English.
That said, for a chain restaurant, Outback is quite decent - one of the best.
Great steaks. If your looking for a great steak youll find it here. Other than the difficulty in parking, I couldn't have had a better experience.
Superstar service. Wow! The steaks in this restaurant are so good they practically melt in your mouth! The food is prepared well, presentation is good, and the service is excellent! And not just your own server, but several others will stop and inquire if you have everything you need, or if they can get you anything else. You receive a friendly greeting when you walk in, and they wish you a good evening when you leave, and sincerity just shines from these people. The only drawback is the parking. Outback shares their parking lot with several other restaurants, and prime dinner time is a tough time to find a parking space. However, it can be done, and it is definitely worth the wait.
Are you hungry?. For the amount of money you're going to pay, it pays to bring a hungry stomach. You're not going to be disappointed since the portion of the servings are HUGE... no dieters please. The ribeye steaks was excellent--go for the meduim rare. You'll never be disappointed. But of course, because of their success... there's the crowd..So be ready to wait ( for a while ) for seating especially around dinner time.
