The Scene – With a location adjacent to the Long Beach Convention Center, it's no coincidence that this hotel sees its fair share of conventioneers. This isn't to say that it's devoid of charm, like many business friendly hotels. Its unique Rainbow Harbor location and its glimmering tower make a sophisticated statement that makes all types of travelers feel at home. – – The Details – Spacious and contemporary guest rooms offer a rare Southern California view--that of the harbor, which is beautiful at sunset. The grounds are lushly planted and offer many places for…

  1. Really nice, had a great view of the water from my room, I was able to watch the cruise ships leave and saw some incredible sunsets.
  2. The beds are very comfortable with thick comforter
  3. It has an awesome view of the area.
  4. Rooms are small but decent as is the location however the terrible customer service (or lack there of dont think they know what that means) doesnt compensate for the location.

Nice harbor front hotel, no salon or spa

by 808Trina at Citysearch

I chose this hotel because I wanted to be near the water. Well, the hotel is nearby the harbor, Shoreline Village and restaurants. The beach is east of the hotel and there is a long path that you can walk for miles. The hotel is very pretty, nice spacious lobby and outdoor pool down by the restaurant. The rooms were exactly just as I thought they would be, with basic amenities. There's even a club lounge level for appetizers and quick bites for breakfast.

The Tides restaurant is the hotel's only restaurant and I mostly dined outside because there were lots of eateries to choose from.

George, the bartender was entertaining, as was Kim, the waitress. Toi, Wan, the concierge and all the bellman were great! The only downfall is the hotel does not have a spa or salon, so they referred me over to the Salon 500 nearby the hotel. Thanks guys!

Horrible place to have an event

by sadema at Citysearch

The staff is very uncoordinated, snooty, rude and could care less. Rooms are small but decent as is the location however the terrible customer service (or lack there of dont think they know what that means) doesnt compensate for the location. There are other hotels in the vicinity that offer far better service and actually make you feel like they appreciate your business.
