Business-style hotel offers luxury rooms with ocean views just steps away from Long Beach's ever-popular Shoreline Village..
In Short
It's hard to miss this enormous 12-story hotel complex situated in downtown Long Beach, but the convenient location is everything here. Business travelers enjoy its proximity to the Long Beach Convention Center, which is literally just across the street, as well as its surrounding restaurants, shops, nightlife and of course, the water. A majority of the rooms boast an ocean view but after the latest remodel, the expansive windows are not the only thing luring patrons to spend a night inside the hotel's doors: Elegant, relaxing decor and luxe toiletries and amenities allow guest to unwind after a long day or night on the town. There's also La Trattoria for breakfast and lunch, a Starbucks cafe and chef Suzanne Tracht's modern American chophouse aptly named Tracht's.
Great for weddings. I was in my cousin's wedding in California and they had the reception at the Renaissance Ballroom at the Marriott in Long Beach and it was perfect. My cousin was so happy with how everything turned out and I had a great time checking out Southern California. I stayed at the hotel and was close enough to check out shopping in Long Beach as well as Huntington Beach. The Bride and I even went to Tommy T's Body Piercing to get a couple piercings for her Bachlorette party. Her husband was pleasantly surprised with her new addition. I was impressed with how clean the shop was. We had a seperate room at the Renaissance for the party and we had a blast. The conceirge, Sydney, was great when it came to answering any questions we had. She was a tremendous help. I can't wait until I go out to visit my family again so I can enjoy the beach. I will stay at the Renaissance Long Beach again for sure. The hotel is truly beautiful and the staff are well trained.
Convention Ctr Right Across the Street. This is a great place to stay if you need nice accomodations near the Long Beach Convention Center. It's right across the street. Stayed here for Valentine's weekend. Check-in was a bit ardous. The front desk reps were answering phones and helping those in line, so it took forever to get checked in. Had a drink in the lobby bar, bartender wasn't the friendliest, but the drinks good and strong. Also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, service was lacking, food was mediocre. Room service for breakfast was the best service we received the whole weekend. Beware of the ice machine room, if possible get a room far away!
