view & uploadnot most flavorful soup, really good mexican food, down best hands, very friendly waitresses, great salsa, terrific holeinthewall mexican restaurant, wonderful menudo
great place for soup. This is a charming little hole in the wall kind of place. I usually love going because its always fast and the service is gr8. The food is average, but the soups are the best.
The hands down BEST MEXICAN FOOD Anywhere! PERIOD!!. I first went to Mi Lupitas because it was close to my apartment. I found the waitresses to be very pleasant and friendly, but the FOOD was the BEST EVER! I am Mexican and grew up eating authentic mexican food practically every day and this is BY FAR the best mexican food restaurant I've ever been to! I usually get the daily special because its a lot of food for very little price (cheese enchilada, chile relleno and tamale, rice, beans and choice of soup or salad.) I always get the albondigas (meatball soup) because its truly the best I've ever had! They also have wonderful menudo (not just on Sundays but every day!) and their chips and salsa are great too. The salsa can be a little hot but I really love it and usually spoon it over my rice. I now live in the Inland Empire but we still drive the hour to go down to Mi Lupitas when we want really good Mexican food. We always say that if we win the lottery we'll pay the owners to open a new restaurant out here...it would be so worth it!!!!
A terrific hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant!. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place because it is within walking distance of his apartment. We knew we'd stumbled upon a gem when we stepped inside and saw how busy it was! The waitresses were very friendly, making sure our chips never ran out. The salsa was too spicy though, which is saying a lot, since I LOVE spicy. My boyfriend had the carne asada wet burrito. I couldn't stop stealing bites. It was excellent! I had a large bowl of chicken soup. The soup was simple, with big chunks of chicken and fresh vegetables. It wasn't the most flavorful soup I've ever eaten, but it was exactly what I wanted. I washed it down with a pineapple margarita. Barely detected any tequila, but it still tasted good and the price was right ($3.50). For the two of us, our bill was barely $20 (before tip) and that was with the margarita and a beer! What a deal!
