one of the best. This has to be one of the best diner restaurants in the Long Beach area. Big menu... excelent cooks.. breakfast all day...soup made fresh... I love this place. You pretty much can not go wrong when you order.

Comming from a foodie, 90% of all my meals here have been great!!! But the coffee has been bad every time I'm been her. They make the mistake restaurants make and use that bad tasting "Apffels" coffee. Out side of that, you should be very happy. Go!

User review by mikegarch. I was brought to the Long Beach cafe for a business lunch at 7am last Saturday. The single small $9.00 Belgian waffle arrived barely warm to all 3 of us who ordered them. The butter never made it to our table (probably because they knew it wouldnt melt). The waitress was inattentive and never made it back to ask if everything was good. Our boss paid the bill and we left. I won't be going back.

Faded decor. The faded, outdated prints on the wall affect the ambience. (I've talked to both the featured photographer AND the owner about this years ago, still no changes!).

Overall though, it's a good location (Ocean Blvd, a few blocks from the heart of the East Village Arts District). Nice free parking for customers.

Very pleased with the food and service but they should be open later on the weekends. (It COULD be packed like the Shorehouse Cafe on 2nd street after tha bars close).

Best Breakfast in LBC!. The omlettes here are HUGE, and tasty too! It may seem pricey when you first look at the menu (most omlettes run near $9) but it is well worth it. I'm a fairly big eater and I've never been able to finish it in one sitting. The menu can be a little overwhelming with the amount of choices as well.

The service here has always been good whenever I go there.
