Okay, so i take full responsibility for my actions, but give me a f*cking break.

Long Beach is the only city in the USA where a public intoxication ticket can lead to 4 days behind bars. In most cities you get 5 hours to sleep off your alcohol in the drunk tank, then you get out, free of charge.

In Long Beach they decide that you can't leave until trial or posting bail. If you came in on friday morning, and don't want to post bail, you will be sleeping in their jails until Tuesday morning.

I'm not broke, so i posted bail, yet still was held for 18 + hours so they could 'check for warrants' (a task that takes all of 35 minutes).

Also, according to a police officer, it's illegal to insult someone in the city.

I was arrested for public intox. after telling a police officer to s*ck my d*ck. The reason for my vulgarity? (besides alcohol...)... i was assaulted by someone and when i told the officer i'd like to press charges he told me to 'f*ck off'. Pretty sure it was officer thatch, the babydicked wonder. I understand his anger. :*(
