good food, nice view, very good place, good service, great crab, rude server, great atmosphere
Great Views, Nice Music, Reasonable Prices.
Have enjoyed several visits, always on off-peak times. Great sunsets, nice servers, reasonably priced well drinks, house wine, and food.
Excellent atmosphere, music takes you back. I don't eat crab so no comment on that.
Burgers are good, salmon, halibut, clam chowder, shrimp, and sourdough with real butter are all good. Smoked fish would be nice to have offered.
Terrible, worst service I've experienced as a local.
I just returned from lunch, I read the reviews and went anyway. Let me save you all from one of the worst dining experiences ever.
As a local, I have here many times for happy hour which has always been fine. Today, I DINED with a party of 8, I called in advance, no problem. We were seated within 10 minutes, great.
Things turned sour when our server from hell came over. Everything went wrong from there. The service was sub-par with an attitude! My entire party felt we were an inconvenience to the server, who walked away in the middle of orders being placed, no drinks refilled during the entire 2 hours, until the end. We had 2 people who would have liked wine with the meal, yet the server did not return. Server was rude and curt. We then received the bill totaled out before being asked if anyone wanted dessert or coffee etc and there was an 18% gratuity attached! We asked for the mgr who looked as though from rehab in a dirty t-shirt. We explained the poor service, she quipped, "What do you want me to do?" There was so much more to this restaurant's downside, but only limited room to post this review.
Our entire party left feeling abused for mediocre food . Locals call this place the Crack-Pipe, I guess I wrongly gave them the benefit of the doubt and regretfully brought my guests anyway. I wished I had spent an extra $3 a plate for better service elsewhere such as McKennas or Busters Beach House and left with feeling good about my $200 meal instead of jaded.
What a disappointment. We have been to the one in Seattle. That one is wonderful. Good food, good service, great atmosphere. We went to this one and were disappointed. The hostesses were rude, the waitress was lazy and took 20 minutes to get us some cocktail sauce, and it wasn't that busy, the food was awful (the crab was obviously reboiled numerous times, the corn was undercooked and the shrimp were rubbery). If you want the real experience of the CrabPot, go to the one in Seattle. Avoid this one at all cost. It isn't worth the time, the effort or the money. If you are looking for crab in Long Beach...just go to Joe's Crab Shack up the road....AVOID THIS RESTAURANT
total disappointmnent!. the main reason we chose to dine at this restaurant was because of the great reviews posted on citysearch and that was a HUGE mistake. The restaurant had a 45min wait on a Saturday evening so we had a drink in the bar area. When we were finally seated, we had to wait another 10mins before having a waiter come to us. The menu looks like there is a big choice but really the main options are quite limited. The crab pot feasts are shown as a per person price but you HAVE TO order 2 minimum. We went for the top tier one with clams, shrimp, sausage, potatos, corn added crab legs as a special. The serving wasn't all that big and the King Crabs legs were totally overcooked! For $33/pp it was a complete rip off!!
Put your bib on. Get the Seafest! It's awesome. They dump a ton of seafood on your table and you just go to town. The view is nice next to the marina and inside it's well decorated with an oyster bar and sea going items. When you eat, get a bib cause it's not very fun driving in traffic coming back from here with the smell of shrimp, mussels, crab and sausage all over your shirt!
Not too Crabby. I personally don't go for the food even though all my friends tell me it has the best food. I am not a big shellfish fan so I usually go for the atmosphere and cocktails. I have had the Clam Chowder, which is really good. This place is right on the water and has a huge patio area. It is really fun to go after work or on a nice, sunny weekend to sit outside at the outdoor bar and relax. Always friendly people around and the bartenders are great. I highly recommend trying it out!!
