ripples ,bring back the gaiety!.
I am very happy that the staff wants to recreate the good times from the past, I was there the night that the owner glared at my glass used to hold my liquid courage, he said something to the bartender about the size of the glass and like magic from the next week on only dinky plastic glasses were served. this was about six or seven years ago. I am ready to leave behind the common strippers and move forward with a classy establishment. Have the employees treat the guests with manners , eye contact and a smile. I would like a night that the music volume was gentle.

Great place day and night.
This place is nice and relaxing during the day with decent well drink prices, they have a patio you can sit in and enjoy the sun. The staff is always friendly, not just my favorite gay bar but one of my very favorite bars in general. 2 floors of dancing at night with an ocean view.

Rude staff, pathetic interior.
The place was *deserted*, but we were at the beach across the street so decided to try to have a drink. However, after five minutes of non-stop attitude from the bartender we simply left. Much better bars can be found anywhere and everywhere else.

Legendary beachfront gay bar features an intimate weekday drinking atmosphere--and a Sunday institution..
The Scene
An elegant wall of glass blocks leads into a dimly lit room with a seaworthy lounge feel. The large square bar divides the first-level space, with its small dance floor and the only gay bar patio in Long Beach allowing alcohol. On the upper level, the decor is equally spare, but panoramic beach views abound. Overall, the atmosphere is amiable, but feels like a throwback to the early '80s, courtesy the "Dynasty"-era glitz of the interior design.
The Draw
Long Beach Sunday tradition dictates that mildly rowdy--and often good-looking--bar-hoppers start here for the beer bust and then adjourn to the Silver Fox after nightfall. Every other night, the bar is sparsely populated, but on weekdays, it's a lovely spot for an afternoon cocktail. And the Belmont Shore location is as idyllic as the LBC gets.

Used to Be Nice.
Many years ago, and I do mean many, used to be nice. Now, dying plants, dying crowd and just a plain and tired bar.
