My favorite place for BBQ.
Great and awesome hard to find dishes, such as collard greens, fried ocra and fried green tomatoes. Kid friendly and fun. Large portions.

Fantastic!!.
Went here for the first time today and loved it!! I had their ribs and brisket combo and I'm sorry I didn't get the full slab of baby backs. I was amazed at how great the sides were. I ordered the greens and texas caviar, and all was great. My 13 yr old ate his entire slab...darn it...I wanted some. He also finished his rice and sweet potato fries. He never ate sides before!! Johnny Rebs' is da bomb!!! Loved the decor...Green Acres was playing in the john. Now that there is one open in the high desert, I finally have a reason to stop in Victorville on the way to Vegas.

I love this restaraunt! I went there a few years ago and have missed it ever since. The food was absolutely delicious and I am not a big bbq fan, but after eating at Johnny Rebs I converted! I can't wait to go there again the nest time I am in Long Beach. BBQ Beef ribs to die for. Endless sides.

Over-the-top Southern decor can't overshadow the barbecue at this ersatz roadhouse..
In Short
Peanut shells underfoot greet barbecue-loving locals at this Disney-style re-creation of a roadside shack. Vinyl tablecloths, packaged wet naps and lemonade served in 24-ounce jelly jars strongly indicate casual attire is a must. The key to good barbecue is the sauce, and Johnny Rebs' vinegar-based blend compliments the pork ribs. The fried chicken is coated in peppery cornmeal and crowned with bacon bits. For dessert, apple pie is a deep-fried pocket oozing cinnamon-spiked apples and topped with vanilla ice cream.

Fun Place.
I recommend the fried green tomatoes and the tri tip. Service is good. It's loud and usually crowded on the weekends, but it's lively and fun.
