Look rich or you won't get helped. I have had an expensive diamond ring designed and made at Cal's. My mother has bought many nice pieces of jewelry at the store. We have spent a lot of money in this store. Today, I ran in (in flip flops and warm ups) to have a battery put into my mother's watch. Never have I been treated so badly. BLATANTLY ignored by the sales' clerks. I obviously wasn't worth the service. I waited 10 minutes and after that, I went to the door and was buzzed out, without even a question about whether there was something they could have helped me with. Three 3 sales clerks and 1 customer, it was so obvious that I wasn't worth the time. I will never return to this store where we have spent lots of money. My sister and my mother will not return and you can be sure we will tell all our local friends about what type of clientele is

deemed appropriate for service. Shame on the two female sales clerk in that store. I doubt the jeweler knows how you treat his clientele out in the store.

Large Selection/ But there were some problems.... I agree their selection is extensive and they offer jewelry repair. My parents and I have used Cal Jewelry for repairs and purchases. However, when I needed my ring sized (a 24k antique yellow gold and smokey topaz ring), and when the ring came back to me, the band had been thinned down so much. I found it crazy that I was being charged so much for them to take as much gold from my ring as they possibly could. It was a shameless act and I was very upset-due to how sentimental the ring was to me. It was disrespectful. And with the cost of gold these days, I might think twice before having my jewelry altered here...
