quite good food, really good traditional breakfast, best brunch place, great service, great neighborhood breakfast spot, best breakfast potatoes, nice meal somewwhere
How could you give them a bad review?. Although they were old, I noticed the poor review on here and I really don't get it. They are sweet and the place is simple and basic so I guess if you think you are Paris Hilton I suppose you might not like it. The rest of us will find it comfortable and the service nice, even when very busy they move it through quickly, lots of tables. Sit outside if you can. This is at least the second best place in the City for a good traditional breakfast but a little secret is the the best part of the "Etc." is the really great salads they make. Abundant, fresh delicious!
Great place for a traditional breakfast.... despite a few bad reviews from bitter customers. I would go to Egg Etc any day over Denny's or Polly's for breakfast. It's definitely not a place where you find excellent presentation or fine dining experience. I've been there a few times and I enjoyed the food and the service. The price is very affordable and the portion is quite large. The pancakes are excellent. The wait isn't too bad even when it's really pack.
not worth it. My husband loves breakfast so we decided to give this place a try. The food was horrible. No presentation. It was as if the cook had just slapped the food on the plate in a hurry. I will not go there again.
It's a great neighborhood breakfast spot!. I read the bad review for Eggs, etc, and I had to write a review! I am sorry these people had a bad experience, but I am sure it was an exception. I've gone to Eggs, etc. often over the past 3 years, and it is a great breakfast spot. The service is great, the outside patio is nice. It's one of the best places in Long Beach to meet friends and enjoy some... well... eggs, etc. :) I recommend it as a casual breakfast spot with lots of charm and good food!!
Worst Breakfast Anywhere. My wife and I decided to have breakfast at Eggs Etc. I ordered the hobo omlette with California Spuds (chopped fried potatoes with cheese, sour cream and avacado) and my wife had the veggie omlette. The hobo omlette was a disaster on a plate, everything was mixed together with the California Spuds, sour cream smeared everywhere. It was as if the cook just mixed everything together and threw the slop on a plate. I had to dig thru the sour cream to find my undercooked runny omlette, which consisited of half cooked bacon and sausage and whatever else they could find to ruin a simple omlette. My wife's extremely undercooked veggie omlette contained a RAW EGG YOLK in the center, which at first we both hoped was cheese. At this point we knew we had enough and demanded a refund. The server first asked if we would like to try something else on the menu, we declined and went right home. As I write this review less than a hour after attempting to take a few bites of an Egg Etc. breakfast omlette I can only look forward to lunch and having a nice meal somewwhere else to make up for that awful attempt at a breakfast and soon forget about the Nightmare On Redondo Ave. called Eggs Etc.
Yum.. This is a good brunch place. The food was quite good, the service was pretty good. The menu offers a lot of options, and now they have veggie chorizo, which is always a plus. Recommend the granola pancake-- delish.
