Since opening its first diner in the 1940s, this restaurant has developed into one of the most popular West Coast franchises, claiming industry innovations such as the drive-through window, partial-service dining rooms and their iconic Six Dollar Burgers--a line of oversized, sit-down restaurant-style hamburgers with Angus patties. Other hearty options abound, including steak-and-egg breakfast burritos, crispy chicken sandwiches and chili cheese fries to supplement standbys like onion rings and shoestring potatoes.

Home. Ahhh, like the sign outside the split level in Stanley Kubrick's masterwork, here we are.

Had a salad bar, took it out, brought it back & removed it again.

who know why ? -THE SHADOW KNOWS!

Used to be the best salad Carl's had...

Good service, Friendly people & decent burgers.

What more could One hope for...

They have a good sized dining room here, the standard two fountains (Be forewarned- Only the West fountain has Diet-Coke!) & clean bathrooms.

Plenty of parking, even at lunch time, plus connected bussiness' parking lots for overflow.

There's a newstand and (small) arcade across Duarte. Also nearby: Submarine Sandwich Shop, discount tobbacco, the 99 cent store (used to be Alpha Beta Supermarket), 3 Computer stores, video rental, frozen yoghurt, photomat/mailbox, Donut Shop and Stop the Press:
