West Covina location is better!. I grew up going to this Claro's but within the last couple of years the customer service has gotten real bad. Its so dissapointing. The hot food at this location looks like it has been sitting there for 2 days, and the staff fights with eachother in front of customers. I started going to Claro's West Covina and I'm so happy with that location! They go above and beyond when it comes to their service, and the food seems way better!

An Old School Italian Market and Deli in Arcadia!. Step in the front door and the first thing that hits you is the amazing fragrance of fresh baked bread and pastries. Visit the deli and get sandwiches made to order - also delicious hot food - and a huge array of imported groceries from Italy and around the world.

I tried samples from caponata to fresh baked cookies - and when you're waiting for your fresh sandwich to be made by the friendly guys behind the counter - you can watch a bunch of people come in to buy the house-made sausage they are famous for - sweet or spicy.

I can't resist the marinated mushrooms and roasted peppers in the deli-case - perfect sandwich filling for a vegetarian like me....and I take home jars of capers, imported marinara sauce and tins of the Chocolate Traveler. My favorite is the Tiramisu Flavor - wedges of dark chocolate with a hint of espresso - but my sister has to have the Creme Brulee so it's always 2 tins along with the delicious Italian food we can't get enough of!

Next party - Claro's is catering for sure - caught a glimpse of some of their party platters the last time we shopped there - gorgeous!

food was spoiled with mold. I bought the garlic bread and didn't notice the mold all over the back of it until i got home. I called them and there was hardly an apology. Instead of a refund they tried to get me to take another stale garlic bread home.

The cookies are addicting!. Be forewarned, you cannot only get one cookie. You cannot only go there once.

And the fresh sausages/pepperoni, my daughter would do anything for them.

Plus some of the salads (prepared foods) are fantastic. Mmm.

As another poster stated, they are closed on Wednesdays, but they are such a great find that this is easily forgiven.

Highly recommended.

That's a spicy meatball. I have been going to Claros for over 30 years. They have a fabulous deli, great fresh bread and everything you need to make an authentic Italian meal. Order deli trays, lasagna and large bread orders in advanced. They know all the regulars and will give them preference. Closed on Wednesdays.
